Happy Spring!!!!
Upcoming Events
It's hard to believe the winter holidays have come and gone, and
it's spring time. All of the programs enjoyed their holiday parties
and festive activities. We are now gearing towards landscaping,
gardening and outdoor events. Most of the programs will begin to
plan their spring and summer barbeques and gatherings. The Vocational
Rehabilitation Program's landscape crew will soon be seen at the
houses beautifying the properties.
More to come..........
General Information
Since 1994, Wild Acre Inns has been JCAHO (Joint Commission of Accreditation
Healthcare Organizations) Accredited. In the summer of 2006, we
received JCAHO Accreditation for the Babcock, Lexington and Belmont
programs, and will be up for renewal again in 2009. WAI seeks JCAHO
Accreditation as another way of ensuring that we provide the highest
level of clinical care to our clients.
The Babcock, Lexington, Belmont and Gateway programs are also DMH
(Department of Mental Health) licensed. Recently, DMH visited our
locations for review of our licensure and we passed.
The staffs at all of our locations are MAP (Medication Administration
Program) Certified. MAP was implemented to increase the safety and
security of medication administration for individuals with mental
illness or mental retardation living in licensed or certified community-based
residences.*
Facilities
The facility staff at Wild Acre Inns has been busy. We try to continually
update and maintain our properties so our clients can live in well-kept
homes.
The clients and staff at the Rindge Program (independent living)
are enjoying their newly renovated basement where they hold their
group meetings and get together as a community. Recently, the facility
staff has been painting the interior and updating the flooring.
Along with regular maintenance, other major repairs have been a
new heating system, exterior paint job and carpentry.
The Babcock Program (highly-structured mood disorder program) also
had some renovations. We recently did major repairs to the garage
and painted a portion of the exterior house.
The Lexington Program (highly-structured thought disorder program)
has also had some major work done at the property. The roof was
replaced at the Lexington Annex, the driveway for the Lexington
property was repaved, new furniture was purchased for the main house,
a new heating system was also installed and there has been a lot
of interior painting.
The Belmont Program (moderately-structured program) has had many
room renovations, interior painting and carpentry, and is currently
getting new common area rugs.
The Gateway Program (supportive living) had repairs to its heating
system at the Annex facility, and has also had many room renovations,
interior painting and carpentry. We are hoping to get new upholstery
in the next few months.
