This Vocational Rehabilitation Mental Health Treatment Program utilizes horticultural activities to simulate real work experience. The horticulture therapy utilizes plants and horticulture activities to improve the social, emotional and physical well-being of clients. The vocational rehabilitation component assesses clients' abilities and prepares them for the workforce. The program is located in historic Lexington, Massachusetts on four picturesque acres.
The program treats clients who present in different phases of their illness such as acute, sub-acute and recovery. The program offers treatment to clients who are recovering from mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and dual diagnosis. These structured groups focus on intervention, skills training, and using each client's unique strengths to overcome personal crisis. Methods used to teach these skills are goal setting, daily check-in groups, behavior modification, cognitive therapy, symptom management, coping strategies, and relaxation training. All participants have individualized treatment plans and are offered comprehensive case management services. The Babcock Partial Hospitalization and/or Intensive Outpatient Program is located in a Victorian home in Brookline, Massachusetts (MA) just outside of Coolidge Corner, one of Boston's most interesting and bustling enclaves.
For general information, the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is offered Monday thru Friday for six to eight hours per day for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Substance Abuse / Addictions Treatment. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is offered three days a week for three hours per day for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Substance Abuse / Addictions Treatment. To accommodate client schedules the treatment plans are flexible to include morning, afternoon or evening sessions.
